Neither of us felt like cooking yesterday after hitting one of the biggest shopping centres in NW London. So Arch suggested we have a cheese and wine night. One word of caution though, I went OTT when choosing the sweet dessert wine so we ended up purchasing a bottle of really sweet wine which tasted more like syrup. Oh well at least the cheese was delicious. And Ryvita’s cripsbread ranks on top of my list as a lip smacking accompaniment to cheese.
Here’s what we had:
And here’s a close up of our food
Clockwise from bottom centre: Olives, marinated artichoke hearts, almonds, cheddar cheese, Port Salut cheese, Spicy cheese (forgot the brand) and Ryvita crisp ryebread.
Centre: Rehydrated sun-dried tomatoes.
My favourite of the lot? Artichoke hearts.
And the Port Salut of course. Very creamy.

Very mediterranean French!! Probably the best thing to have in London….apart from actually hitting Heathrow T5 and jetting off to the French Riviera

AP,
I don’t think I want to fly via T5 anytime soon, hehe.
Pink Cotton,
That wine was too sweet, seriously! Going to have to bake something with it… I don’t know. Will figure something out.
