I’m the one and only original Miracle8 from Borneo Island who uprooted to a cold cold island in order to be with my other half, more than a year ago just over two years ago. We’ve endured happiness, hardships, surprises and the eternal optimist in me believes that life can only get better.
I miss my family members and my hometown dearly. This can be reflected in my ongoing attempts to recreate dishes that originated from mom’s kitchen, or a roadside stall. The lack of available key ingredients can sometimes be a damper, but this is where improvisation comes in. Most of my culinary adventures and that of my other half is recorded here under the “Whats cooking” category. Hopefully my fellow countrymen who are homesick just as I am from time to time will find inspiration in these dishes.
We also love travelling and exploring, time and budget permitting, and as Arch is an avid photographer, all of the travel pictures you see here are captured by him.
I love music and enjoy singing with the LPC which I have been a member of, for just over a year. I have also created a new page dedicated to my piano playing journey, including my Butterfly Lover’s piano cover which has generated more than 37,000 hits on Youtube.
This is the story of me and my life in London, which I share here with you, my dear family and friends, new readers, old readers and anyone who just happened to drop by.
